On day nine of my #100daysofknitstitches I featured this bonnet. It was requested that I write up a pattern for others to follow. Please note that I did not create this specific stitch combination and am not taking ownership of doing so. I am simply going to jot down how you can get this bonnet on your needles.

Cut string leaving a long tail. Weave tail through remaining stitches and pull tight. To add strings chain 50. Join the live to chain to bonnet and continue working the chain by attaching it through the (slipped stitches). This will go all the way around your bonnet. Then once all the way around (the bottom portion) chain 50 more and tie off.
You can also just cut six long strings of yarn and braid 3 on each side.
