Sofia's Bloomsbury Pullover

Texas summers are hot! It seems silly to even think of knitting when the sun is blistering and being outside leaves you sweaty and miserable. However, in just a few months things will begin to cool off and Sofia will be in Kindergarten. What kind of a mommy would I be if I didn't knit her an entire wardrobe of pretties for school?

The first pullover, in a long line up, is one that has been on my to-do list for a long time. This pattern, The Bloomsbury Kids, is available on Ravelry. Check out Svetlana's shop The Tweedy Sheep! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/tweedysheep She has some amazing patterns. But this one is my absolute favorite.

This design looks complicating and a bit intimidating at first. And, I did frog it three times before getting my lace sections correct. However, once I got the hang of it...this was a super quick knit. In fact, I was able to finish it in less than two days.

I find that this pattern runs a bit large. Therefore, I did size down. Sofia is usually in a size six but I knitted the size 4 with some modifications in length. She is tall and thin!

This was my second time using Yarn Bee's Sweet Divinity for a jumper. I really like it because it is affordable, comes in a variety of colors, and washes nicely. Sofia chose this gorgeous shade of blue called Ocean Breeze. I am really happy with the finished product and will be knitting it again for my niece.

I took this image while on our morning walk with Daisy. I could look at these precious girls all day!
