Ya'll! There is a solution to messy curls! If you have a Goldie locks of your own...hear me out!

These super trendy turban style head wraps are EVERYWHERE! Well, we finally got some for Sofia and I am in love! She is too! Here's why!

1) Check out the massive bow! Can you have a more Southern accessory? I am a firm believe in big bows. Don't hate!

2) These are such a stress free way of adding a nice pop of color to a casual outfit. The big hair accessory makes it look like you were trying to put your child in order. We all know that isn't the truth. We're all just trying to hide their tangled bed head!

3) You can wear these year round! The entire piece is made from a stretchy and light weight fabric. It is breathable and features a wide band. Super nice for hot Texas summers! I wouldn't like it as much if it made her head sweat. But, Sofia wore it all day while playing outside and never complained of it being too hot on her head.

Sofia adores that big pop of color! And, really, I do too! I think it really shows off her sweet baby round face. Reminds me that she is still just a baby. Yes, I know, she turns six in August... but just look at those cheeks!

And, while, I should be de-tangling her hair each morning.... some days I just don't feel like messing with it. Honestly, some days she doesn't want me to touch her hair at all. No brush, no conditioner....she just wants to be left alone. I don't blame her.

We have three of these from Genesis Fashion and will be getting more. Especially, with school season approaching. I have a feeling that these bows will actually help in saving my sanity!

Goldie Locks- Love & Lilah

The summer collabs are quickly coming to a close. However, there is nothing more exciting than the adventures of autumn. I was really impressed with this current set of bows from Love & Lilah. I cannot wait to share all of them with you.

However, this one has to be my favorite out of the bunch! I really wasn't expecting it but oh my goodness it is pure GOLD!

My sweet Sofia is the true version of Goldie Locks. Her golden curls have gotten lighter and lighter with each visit to the pool. I love how this bow looks with her hair coloring! Also, this size is perfect for playing in. While, I love big bows, there is something lovely about a sweet and simple hair accessory. She can wear this to school and not worry about it being heavy or falling out. This I love!!! Pretty and fully functional!

Amber- Romper

I adore knitted photography props for newborns. They are such an easy way to introduce texture and feeling to a set up.

This is the Amber Romper. It is knit using a soft DK weight fiber and features a gorgeous "autumn leaves" motif on the bodice. I hope that this piece will be a great way for you transition from summer to fall. Think of closing the chapter on hot summer days and prepping yourself for the first changes of autumn.

This pattern is only available in the newborn size. It is intended to fit babies up to ten pounds. This is standard within the prop world for newborn photography. However, you are more than welcome to play with sizing as you wish.

As of today this pattern is only available for the romper. Romper is knit flat and requires some sewing. It is also beneficial to know how to single crochet for the ties.

Eventually, I will add in the pattern notes for Amber's Bonnet. Please let me know if you'd like to see those notes as well by leaving a comment below.

Finishing the Back:

Remembering to slip the first stitch of each row, continue to work in stockinette for 2 inches. Then, work in 1x1 ribbing for 1.5 inches. This creates a nice and structured look to the back of waist as well as helping to hide diaper.

Construction:

Now that your romper is knit, you are ready to seam the sides. Fold romper (inside out) so that the front and back leg areas match up. You should have 3" openings for the legs. Back side should measure 6" from waist band to the bottom. Using a darling needle sew up sides neatly. Weave in all ends and flip romper right side out.

Ties:

Using your "J" hook chain 50. This creates the tie for the right side.

Holding your romper right side (lacework) facing you, attach the tie to the top right

hand corner. Work across the top of bodice by single crocheting til you get to the top left corner. Then, chain 50 matching the first tie. I tied a knot on the end of each tie for extra durability and detail.

The single crochet should look nice and neat and be placed on top of the original cast on.
