This cowl is perfection!

Perfect texture.

Super soft and squishy.

Trendy and versatile for this fall/winter look.

And, most importantly, very very quick and easy to knit!

Teagan & Lu is the designer for this gorgeous pattern. I will update this post once her pattern is LIVE. Please be sure to follow her page on FB and IG.

It was an absolute pleasure to get to test this.  It was our first collaboration. And I hope there will be many more!

From first glance, this cowl looks like a difficult project. It boasts a mock cable and can look a bit intimidating! However, the two row repeat in this pattern makes you feel super accomplished! I can't describe how quickly this knit up.  I was done in one sitting!  This makes it the perfect last minute gift.

I am always thankful for patterns like these.  They are low-maintenance and great for unwinding after work!  I knitted this while binging on Netflix.  (I know you do it too!)

UPDATE: Pattern has been released and is available here https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/marea-hat

This is my first test for Blackthorne & Free and I couldn't be more excited!

Sandi, owner of Blackthorne & Free, had posted an image of Marea in a facebook group. It was love at first sight. I just had to knit it! Thankfully, she wasn't stingy with her newest pattern and allowed me to test it for her!

I adore the simple texture of the waves!  This is a great pattern for learning cable knitting.  It is a simple intro to the skill and produces a gorgeous finished product. You don't have to be scared of cables! Give this a try!

Also, I appreciate the use of readily available yarns! This is done in Lion Brand's Wool Ease Thick & Quick. I love the feel of this acrylic based yarn. It is soft and has just a touch of fuzz!  There are tons of color options and I genuinely enjoyed looking through them all! This is their "Spice" shade. It features a mixture of rustic burn orange and brick red. Perfect for the changing of seasons!

Marea, per Sandi's own words, was inspired by the waves of the ocean.  I can certainly see this in the pattern!  It is so much fun! You guys are going to love knitting this one! I just know it!  Marea is a very QUICK knit! It took me longer to choose the color than to actually knit this!!!

You can find this designer on IG: @blackthorne_and_free Please feel free to contact her for a more accurate date of the pattern release.  I will update the blog once I know it that it has been published.

The saying states that after every storm there is a rainbow of hope. We see it in the Bible through the story of Noah.

So, meet Noah. This baby boy is my friend's special miracle baby. After several losses this precious baby was born. I'm naming this bonnet specifically for him. Isn't he adorable?!!!

The bonnet is knitted with a beautiful and soft self-striping wool. I love the rich colors. My sister, the owner of Twinling Photography, did such a great job capturing the beauty of this little guy. I'm glad I was able to knit him up something special!
