Photo Props, Knits, & Motherhood

For the last few weeks I have been eyeing a new location for photos. When you take pictures as often as we do...you tend to keep your eye out for pretty places. This one was so much better than expected and was only 2 minutes away from home.

This plant nursery features a bunch of gorgeous antiques and the owners live in a castle! Yep, a modern castle that they built from scratch!!! The owner even allowed Sofia to go and explore it. And, again, I am thrilled by the hospitality of East Texans. Nothing like it!

This collab features Sunshine T Boutique. She offers some of the sweetest hand made goodies. Covered buttons and fabric flowers are for the win! I received a set of three and love each piece.

Sofia's golden hair loves these vintage inspired bow clips. And I adore the beautiful fall colors.

In these images Sofia is wearing all three of her bows as well as a hand made dress. The dress was designed and crafted by her very own grandmother. I am so thankful for the ability to have Sofia wearing handmade pretties. It just makes things so special. Handmade = LOVE.

I simply cannot get enough of these sweet little pretties.

Last weekend Goldie Locks and I traveled down to visit my parents and sister. My mother and little sister both celebrate their birthdays at the same time. One is at the end of July and the Other at the very start of August. They've done the shared parties for years. And, really, it makes it so much easier on us since travel is included.

Anyhow, part of that Sofia and I visited with my parents at their church. They go to a local Cowboy Church. If you are in Texas...you'll be familiar with what that means. For us, it was the perfect opportunity to explore the grounds and attempt to befriend the ponies!

Sofia wore her newest pretty pretty from Genesis Fashion. This gorgeous High-Low floral gown is the perfect amount of fancy for my girly. Added some new cowgirl boots, let down her hair, and she was ready to climb fences and twirl to her hearts content!

I have to say this dress is everything and more! But, more importantly it leaves your little girl feeling so pretty. Here are some more photos of our Sunday morning at church!

George Romper in use by Little Poppy Photos (formerly: Heather Leeanne Photography)

I adore making boy props. I love using natural tones and textured fabrics in my sewing. This romper, George, is one of my favorites. I've made five of them in the last week!

One of the things that makes this piece special is that it is a good fall/winter prop. It works for so many set ups and has a very manly vibe to it. The elbow patches really add to that rustic feel and look.

Also, it buttons on the back and just has a good fit. This image was provided by my friend and local photographer, Heather. To date, this is my fave photo of this romper in use. I love this guys sleeping pout!
