Little Goldie making music just like Daddy!

She got this guitar a couple of years ago for Christmas. Daddy plays classical guitar and was thrilled that Sofia was interested in it too! I'm just shocked that I never took pictures of her with it!!!

Anyhow, today we took a little trip down memory lane. This place is called Love's Look Out. It is a beautiful area with gorgeous trees and sweet picnic areas tucked into the country side. It is also the place where her Daddy proposed to me ten years ago! How things come full circle!

Watching her frolic about and explore puts a smile on my face each and every time! We walked around, talked about Mommy and Daddy pre-Sofia days, and I took pictures. She chased off the butterflies, birds, and squirrels. All made for a perfect way to spend our morning.

This gorgeous bow is from the Fall line up by MOMO Boutique. I love the flowing fabric and how lovely it sits on top of her curls. It has a darling vintage vibe to it and I adore this shade of Brown. It is going to be one of my go-to's for her wardrobe this school year.

The boot cuffs are part of a new collection by Uptown Ranch House. And, as you know, my little country girl loves anything and everything to accessorize her cowgirl boots! I especially adore that they are knitted. I have been looking closely at the little lace motif trying to figure out if I can add that specific stitch combination to any of my own work! Stay tuned for more images of these. I have five more colors to show off. Yes, we got the entire line! hahaha

Sofia feeding her favorite chicken, Lucy.

We hang on tightly to the last few bits of summer. I cherish each and every day with this girl of ours. Yesterday, she tore through her closet and dressed up in this lovely little peasant dress from Sweet N Chic Boutique.

The dress was hand sewn by Diana and arrived here on Sofia's birthday! We are beyond impressed by the handwork in this outfit. There isn't a stitch out of line. Plus, the fabric combination is beyond adorable. I love how the little farm animals have a bit of chicken wire within the fabric print. It is wholesome and lovely!

I was waiting to take pictures of this outfit but Sofia had other ideas. So, instead, I just followed her around in our back yard as she played with the chickens. Watching her is a reminder of how quickly time passes. Wasn't it just yesterday that this same girl had a little yellow chick on her shoulder? Today, the girl is six and the bird is a three year old hen.

Funny how one tiny girl can make sweet friends with her animals. They gravitate towards her. I cannot begin to tell you how many critters this child has brought home. It used to suprise me. Not anymore! Dogs, cats, chickens, lizzards, turtles, frogs, and even a snake or two have all visited the house! I've accepted that this is just a part of her spirit and have had to conquer more than one fear.

I hope that the last days of summer are as peaceful and beautiful as ours. And look forward to sharing more of Sofia's adventures with you!

She was all smiles as she asked me to take her on a walk through the magical forest. I guess the field behind our neighborhood is fairly magical to an almost six year old. There are lots of tall/overgrown weeds and a field of wild flowers for the picking. Couldn't say no to her if I tried!

We go on this walk almost daily. She twirls about like a fairy princess and the dog chases grasshoppers and the occasional butterfly. Meanwhile, I just try to keep up without losing my breath! Moms should really be gifted health and physical fitness as part of the momming plan. Here's to wishful thinking!

Anyhow, this field (magical forest) is the perfect location for our spur of the moment collab photo shoots. I just dress her real cute (thanks to all of the lovely shops she models for) and follow behind with my camera. It really is a great time for all of us.

This walk featured a bow from Love & Lilah and you couldn't get a more Country Girl accessory than this!

Check out that awesome print and champagne gold sparkle!!! Plus, anything will look beautiful with those golden curls of hers!

Teal is one of my favorite colors and it makes me happy that this little tid bit was included in the bow. I feel like it will be such a fun hair goodie for this fall. If you haven't found your perfect hand crafted bow yet...I highly suggest this shop. We have tons of her custom made beauties and are always itching to add more!

Sofia says that this pink denim jacket "makes the outfit" and I believe she is correct!
